07/09/2015 - Volleyball Factory Lone Star Select Training
- Alyson is impressive as a setter. Her poise on the court and level headed demeanor during game play make her a great asset. She delivers a hittable ball and can make adjustments on the fly depending on the hitters she has. Alyson scored well in all categories and offers a complete and balanced player for her position. As a setter, she has a smooth release, squares to the target and connects well with her hitters. Defensively, she shows her athleticism by having good range and the ability to reach balls outside of her immediate area. I would like to see her train defensively against higher velocity attacks. Her platform is set to target early and exhibits good footwork in movement and positioning on balls. She has a tough serve that will score points for her team. She controls the serve well and is able to spot serve effectively. Alyson has a ton of potential, and the ability to make a good team better. As she continues to grow, she will work towards becoming even more of a complete player but is already well on her way.
02/27/2015 - College PREP - Manheim (Harrisburg), PA
- Alyson is working to build on the foundation she already has as a player. She showed balance in all skills with the ability to continue to grow and work to elevate her skill. She has a heavy hand so she has potential to get power behind her serve as well as in her attack. While setting, she has a good even release and good placement of the ball for her hitters. Offensively, she jumps very well, has good power behind the ball, and is capable of hitting different shots. Defensively, she is low and ready and ready to anticipate the ball. She is also capable of making moves for balls outside of her body. Overall, Alyson is still improving as a player but is on the right track as she works to smooth out her play.
