05/21/2017 - College PREP - San Antonio, TX - Daniela is a young player that is the type of athlete you want as a setter. She has good energy and jumps and moves well on the court demonstrating her athleticism. As a setter she is vocal and seems to take command of the court. You notice her presence. She is able to run a fast tempo offense and likes to aggressively jump set the ball which helps her get the balls to her hitters faster. She does a good job of squaring to target and is able to set in the opposite direction she is moving. I would like to see her consistently set the ball all the way out to the pins. Daniela has a nice serve that she is able to command well. She contacts the ball nice and high and generates good speed. As an attacker she uses her jumping ability to her advantage and is very crafty with placement of the ball. Daniela is a young and athletic setter that has the qualities you look for in a setter. She has good athleticism and the ability to command her court. She will only continue to get better as she continues to play and train at a high level.
