09/17/2017 - College PREP - Potomac, MD - Abigail Greenwood is a 2020 libero. Abigail shows good passing skills with having a low balanced base and faces down he target letting her angled platform do the work and get balls consistently to target. She is very vocal on the floor and sees the court well. Defensively she makes plays and puts up a consistent quality pass to target or in a playable area. She works hard and keeps her team alive in rallies. A few things that Abigail is focusing on is to not split step - that to make sure she finishes the footwork if she steps with one foot, finish with the other. Another thing she is working on with defense is to not focus so much "the perfect dig" but rather high in the middle of the court digs where the setter can get her hands on the ball. At times when focused on "the perfect dig" ball are passed to tight to the net or result in an over pass. But with continued reps in these areas she will see improvement. Abigail is comfortable taking the second ball and provides a hit-able ball to her pin hitters. From the end line Abigail has a consistent and often tough to pass standing float serve. She is continuing to develop her jump float. With only entering her sophomore year of high school, Abigail still has a few years prior to college to fine tune her skills. With continued reps and focusing on detail she will see improvement in her game. At the Factory we are exited to see her progression.
