12/15/2016 - Volleyball Factory Select Training at the NCAA Championship - Alayna is a 2020 Setter. She has a good float/top spin serve that would drop right in front of the end line. Her passing and defense showed consistency and she showed good hustle towards every ball and got her platform out early and produced a good location. Alayna did a good job squaring up to the pins before making her set to the hitters and being able to set against the flow of her body which helped free up the hitters and only allow one blocker up. Right now she is working on jumping setting to help draw the blockers. We are excited to see how Alayna grows in the next couple years and what collegiate program she decides to play at!
05/13/2016 - College PREP - Milwaukee, WI - Alayna is a 2020 Setter. Alayna has a top spin serve that has good location and distances. Her passing and defense showed consistency and good hustle towards every ball, she is able to get her platform out early and produce a good location. She did a good job squaring up to the pins before making her set to the hitters. During 6 on 6 gameplay she opened up towards her defense and closed on contact creating it harder for the blockers to know where she was about to set which made it possible for her to give her hitters an open attack creating easy sideouts. Right now she is working on releasing faster from defense to arrive early for the set. Overall Alayna is a hard working player and with continued coaching, reps and exposure she will have the opportunity to play at the collegiate level.
