09/17/2017 - College PREP - Potomac, MD - Alexis Oliver is a 2019 outside hitter. She is an athletic player who shows potential with continued practice and coaching. Offensively she contacts the ball high has varied shots being able to hit cross court, roll shots and down the line. Continuing to work on her offensive game she is focused on her timing, making sure to stay behind the ball and to open her shoulders to her setter to help generate more power and develop more shots. Defensively Alexis has a low wide base that allows her to make plays easily. The ball works well off her platform that provides quality passes. Continuing to work toward being a six rotation player she is focused on making sure she doesn't swing her platform and not letting the ball beat her. From the end line Alexis has a good consistent standing float serve that has power and is difficult to pass. She also is working on developing her jump top spin serve by working on the consistency and a more stronger/effective serve. Over all Alexis is a junior who is continuing to work on her skills - through continued reps and coaching we are excited to see her continued growth especially with the opportunity to work with her again at our upcoming training event in Kansas City.
