07/13/2017 - Volleyball Factory Select Summer Training Camp at Lake Placid
- Ashley Killian is a 2018 libero. Overall she is a good defender and passer. She reads the ball well and is able to make plays. She has a good touch on the ball and always keeps her platform set to target. Defensively Ashley continues to work on staying low, not popping up after the ball has been contacted and getting feet to the ball. From the end line she has a jump float serve which shows signs of being an effective serve. With continued work on keeping her hand flat and wrist locked she delivers a touch serve jamming the opponents up on serve receive. As Ashley enters her senior year we are both excited and anxious to see what collegiate program she joins.
06/03/2017 - College PREP - Charlotte, NC
- Ashley showed balanced skills as a DS/L. Her serving was consistent and with a few minor adjustments she will see her efficiency and scoring production improve. That will have big payoffs for her. Her ball control skills, passing and digging, were good and will improve with more time and reps in the gym. She has great court vision as a defender and an understanding of the game. Ashley listened and accepts feedback well showing the ability to make changes and apply information given. She worked hard in this try-out and was someone that adds value to a team.
