12/14/2017 - Volleyball Factory Select Training at the NCAA Championship - Brooke has a great personality and extremely fun to be with on the court. She is very coachable and wants to really learn how to play the game better. She takes feedback very well and is really good and implementing what she learned right away. She has high energy, inquisitive, and steady and a consistent player. She understands her role and contributes positively to the court. Her ball control is solid. Brooke needs to get a little more technically sound on defense. More reps in the gym will remedy this.
09/24/2017 - College PREP - Nashville, TN - Brooke Stepter is a 2019 libero. Brooke is a good size libero who has long arms & her height that help her make plays outside of her body. She has a good touch on the ball. She stays low defensively which helps her make more plays. Her biggest area of focus is not letting balls beat her, but to get around the ball or behind the ball and take a charge. This will improve with continued reps and really working at it. She is comfortable taking the second ball when needed and puts up a hittable ball to each pin. From the end line Brooke has a consistent jump float that is able to hit different locations on the court. In her future reps she is working on the speed of the serve by speeding up her arm and using her body and momentum into the serve. Over time this could develop into an effective serve. As a Junior - Brooke continues to work on her game and we are thrilled that she is joining us for training in December. We look forward in working with her and seeing her progress.
