12/20/2017 - Under Armour Volleyball Factory Winter Training in Colorado Springs - Caroline has a very pleasant fun personality. She gets along with others and works hard on the court. She is always moving and has "happy feet" while playing. She takes a lot of unnecessary anticipation steps. She has to be disciplined with her feet and work on her eye sequencing. Ball-setter-ball-hitter will help her read better. She has an aggressive arm swing but a low contact point and has a tendency to swing underneath the ball. Overall, she needs lots of high quality reps and playtime to improve ball control and consistency.
10/22/2017 - College PREP - Marlborough (Boston), MA - Caroline Marcotte is a 2020 outside/right side hitter. Caroline is a versatile hitter as she can hit on the outside and right side. As an attacker she has a good arm swing that has some power when she has good timing and gets feet to the ball. She shows more success on the right side as an opposite hitter. She continues to work on being more explosive, keeping space and getting feet to the ball. In the back row she over all has good movement and a good straight platform. She needs to continue to develop her Volleyball IQ and read and react faster to make more plays as well as staying low. From the endline she has a standing float and jump float serves. Her serves show good power and when she has good contact and good toss shoes to be effective. Her biggest focus with her serve is taking her time and being more consistent. As a sophomore she still has time to develop and grow and we are very excited to see where her hardworking takes her. We are excited and look forward in working with her in Colorado Springs this December.
