01/25/2015 - College PREP - Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Gabriella is working to build on the foundation she already has as a player. She showed balance in all skills with the ability to continue to grow and work to elevate skill. I would like to see Gabriella continue to work to improve her serve as a whole. The consistency of her toss height and distance is crucial as it effects the timing of her jump, which then effects the overall result of the serve. She has a great float when she does connect. Defensively, she can work on her defensive range and moving to balls outside of her body with her hands apart. Offensively, she communicates will with her setter and has good contact. I would like to see her work on not broad jumping; this will help her timing and get more height when contacting the ball. She is a very hard worker and has a great attitude, so it is known that she will improve in all aspects with more experience and coaching. Overall, Gabriella is still improving as a player but is on the right track as she works to smooth out her play.
