09/24/2017 - College PREP - Nashville, TN - Hana Robertson is a 2020 outside hitter. Hana is a versatile hitter being able to hit on both pins, outside and opposite. She showed stronger swings on the opposite and would potentially better suited for that position. She continues to develop her over all hitting by focusing on her timing of the sets and working on her last two steps by being more explosive. As a blocker she is able to help slow down the hitter by getting touches. She is working on penetrating over the net more and reading her setter so that she can set up a better block. As a defender she stays low and puts up some quality passes. She continues to work trusting her feeling and getting them to the ball or running through the ball and not letting the ball beat her to the location. From the end line she has a standing float and jump float serves. Both are over all good serves but with continued reps and focusing on power and serving low to the net could develop into an effective serve. Hana is only in her sophomore year which gives her a few more years to continue to work on her game. We are excited to see her progression over time.
