12/27/2015 - Volleyball Factory Winter Training in Colorado Springs - Jaelynn is a 2017 Setter. As a setter, her height is a big advantage and could be a 6 rotation player. She has great location. She has a tough top spin serve that drops and scores easy points for her team. As a setter, she does a good job at releasing from right back and moves with ease. She reads the defense well and sets against her movement to help open her hitters up even more. Defensively, she does a good job reading the hitters and adjusting herself around the block creating a platform early. With continuous and proper training, Jaelynn has the potential to become an asset to a great collegiate program.
04/10/2015 - College PREP - Grand Rapids, MI - Jaelynn has good speed on her serve and the ball crosses the net low, which makes it difficult for the receiving side to get a good pass to target. She has a great float on the ball. During serve receive, she has a solid platform and passes to the target, but I would like to see her find the passing angle quicker to be able to better the ball. Jaelynn has great reaction time and gets her hips behind the ball very well. Defensively, I would like to see Jaelynn read the game better which will allow her to pick up more balls. As a setter, she is capable of setting a consistent tempo ball to the correct location. Offensively, she jumps well, has a fast arm swing and approach. Overall, Jaelynn is still improving as a player but is on the right track as she works to smooth out her play.
