12/20/2017 - Under Armour Volleyball Factory Winter Training in Colorado Springs - Jenna has a great personality and extremely fun to be with on the court. She is very coachable and wants to really learn how to play the game. She is just learning proper form and techniques and her ball control continued to improve throughout the camp. She needs to play and train as much as possible to improve read and reaction time. Areas for Jenna to focus on: presenting a strong platform that arrives early - at times she was late which hurt her consistency and accuracy. Defensively she needs to be mindful on keeping her shoulder over her toes and have her shoulders help create the angle of the platform in the direction she wants the ball to go. On hard driven balls or fast plays Jenna tended to swing her platform or guide the ball to the target instead of letting the ball work off her platform. In addition Jenna needs to trust her feet to get to the ball or run through the ball instead of going to the floor. Overall Jenna plays very hard and is aggressive - she was by far the most vocal player on the court. As a freshman she still has raw technique and game awareness but with continued reps and playing games she will develop more and see a big jump in her play.
