10/05/2014 - College PREP - Louisville, KY - Karissa is a steady middle blocker that moves well along the net. She has an ease about her on the court that causes her presence to add stability to a team. Karissa arrives on time on the block and gets a good close. Defensively she is still working on her reaction to balls but has good range and maintains a low posture. Offensively Karissa is consistent on attack but would like to see her add power by speeding up her arm swing and activating her core through the motion. As a passer she has a nice platform that is consistently set to target but would like to see her work on efficient footwork in pursuit or motion to the ball. As a server, Karissa has good control and makes few errors. Overall Karissa is young but laying a good foundation for all of the tools middle blockers need to be successful. As she continues to grow I believe her skill level will increase and she will be able to make an impact for the right program. Getting continued high level training and technical exposure will be important for her development.
