- Kenidi is a little ball of energy. She always has a smile on her face and works really hard to better her skills. She needs to work on free ball passing and get more consistent with her over all ball control.
She is very coachable and just needs reps and someone to believe in her abilities. She wants to be a great libero and will work hard to become that. She takes constructive criticism very well and will work on what you ask of her. I am interested to see how well she progresses in the years to come.
07/20/2017 - Volleyball Factory Lone Star Select Training
- Kenidi Valladolid is a 2020 outside hitter. Kenidi shows potential of being a good effective hitter. She has a fast arm swing and good transition footwork getting her off the net quickly. Her biggest area of focus, that we think will generate in a game changer for her, is to stay off the net and give space when attacking. Currently Kenidi attacks her final steps are to close to the net - allowing space will give Kenidi the ability to swing more effectively and allow for better shots. Kenidi has good passing technique. Her platform is early and angled to target with good footwork. She is comfortable using hands when a ball comes above her head. Defensively she sees the game well and is able to make plays. Kenidi is continuing her focus on staying low and not popping up early and staying on th eballs of her feet with weight shifted forward so that she can react quicker and get to even more balls. As a blocker Kenidi reads the setter well which ables her to close blocks consistently. She continues to work on her strong shoulders and penetrating across the net. From the end line Kenidi has a good serve that with more reps could be a good weapon in her near future. Her focus on serving is with her toss - keeping it out in front of her hitting arm instead of on her left shoulder. As Kenidi enters her sophomore year of high school we are excited to see her continued development as she works to become a six rotation hitter for a college program in the future.
