01/25/2015 - College PREP - Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Lauren is working to build on the foundation she already has as a player. She showed balance in all skills with the ability to continue to grow and work to elevate skill. I would like to see Lauren continue to work on her defensive range, being lower while passing and playing defense. Lauren can improve her defense by focus on getting her platform away from her body more and quickening her reaction time to balls that drop short in front of her. She will be able to immediately improve getting her platform away from her body when she gets lower in defense and passing. I would also like to see Lauren improve her serve by making it more powerful, getting the ball lower to the net, and to a precise location. She can improve those two aspects by making her wrist more firm, opening her hand more on contact, and contacting the middle back of the ball instead of contacting underneath the ball. Overall Lauren is still improving as a player but is on the right track as she works to smooth out her play.
