07/09/2015 - Volleyball Factory Lone Star Select Training - Miranda has good footwork and position to be a valuable setter. She is still learning and developing but her progress so far and commitment to the game will insure that her technical assessment numbers will improve during her club season. I would like to see her improve in connecting better with her middles and taking control of her side of the court. Miranda demonstrated that she is a quick learner and as she continues to grow she will smooth out her game and be a great addition to the right collegiate program.
02/04/2015 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD - Miranda is working to build on the foundation she already has as a player. She showed balance in all skills with the ability to continue to grow and work to elevate skill. I would like for her to be more vocal and aggressive on the court during defense; I am sure that will happen as she gains more confidence through playing experience. Miranda has a great consistent good serve and was able to hit requested zones. In serve receive, she is vocal and has a good passing platform; was able to take the ball overhand when needed. Defensively, she anticipates well, but could get a little lower in her ready position. While setting, she was able to place the ball efficiently, but could get her hands up a little earlier and have a better first step. Her blocking technique is good and she is able to touch many balls as well as stay with her hitter, but can work on pressing over a little more. Miranda has the ability to keep the ball in play; very controlled. Overall, Miranda is still improving as a player but is on the right track as she works to smooth out her play.
