02/04/2015 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD - Miranda is working to build on the foundation she already has as a player. She showed balance in all skills with the ability to continue to grow and work to elevate skill. Mumbi has ability to jump float very well when asked and is a pretty consistent server who is able to hit zones. In serve receive, she can focus on getting lower and having a stronger platform to target. When she gets her feet to the ball the ball goes to target consistently. Defensively, she is quick, but needs more efficient feet (improve footwork to balls outside of her body). I would like for her to be more vocal and aggressive on the court during defense; I am sure that will happen as she gains more confidence through playing experience. While blocking, she is not sure when to jump or when to stay down, but is athletically and able to put up a strong block when she in the right position. Offensively, she jumps quickly, but needs more power and strong wrist. Her timing is slightly off (early), but will get better with experience. If in the situation to set, she is unsure when to use her hands; needs practice to build confidence. Overall, Mumbi is still improving as a player but is on the right track as she works to smooth out her play.
