02/04/2015 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD - Nya is working to build on the foundation she already has as a player. She showed balance in all skills with the ability to continue to grow and work to elevate skill. I would like to see Nya continue to work on having more control of her serve so that she is able to serve to any location in the court. While passing in serve receive, Nya can work on getting lower in her passing position that way she is able to more quicker in order to cover more ground. Defensively, she does a great job of making a move to every ball, but she could work on having a quicker first step and reading/anticipating the ball so that she does not have to go to the floor as often. Nya has a heavy arm and great potential to be an effective hitter as long as she is able to control her arm swing to put the ball in the court consistently and practice her timing (sometimes early). She is aggressive at the net, but needs more experience in knowing whether she should jump or stay down; when she does time her block correctly she get's many touches and slows down balls. Overall Nya is still improving as a player but is on the right track as she works to smooth out her play.
