12/20/2017 - Under Armour Volleyball Factory Winter Training in Colorado Springs - Raven has some nice swings, a good vertical and is aggressive at the net. Her ball control needs improvement and she needs to use proper blocking and transition footwork at the net. A lot of reps and consistent training will improve the quality of her touches and play dramatically. She is coachable, and works hard. If she does the homework assigned her arm swing will improve as well.
09/17/2017 - College PREP - Potomac, MD - Raven Pratt is a 2018 middle blocker. Raven is a very athletic and aggressive middle. She jumps well and contacts the ball high. She has a fast arm with good power. She has a "round house swing" that she is continuing to work on so that she is on the ball faster. As a blocker she takes up a large space and gets quality touches - helping slow down the attacker. With her ability to jump & high reach she has to be mindful about pressing over and not so much straight up so that she isn't an easy target for hitters. With continued play her volleyball IQ will improve and she will be more of a threat defensively with her blocking. From the end line she has a good, consistent standing float serve. In her future practice reps she continues to be mindful of not breaking her rest so that the ball has little to no move on the ball. Raven is in her senior year and is committed to playing volleyball in college. Her athleticism and hunger to play and develop will be something that catches a coaches eye. At the Factory we look forward in working with her in Colorado Springs in December to help her to continue to develop and reach her goal of playing in college.
