08/20/2017 - College PREP - Houston, TX - Savanna Kelly is a 2018 middle blocker. Savanna has great size and length in her arms. She has the potential to make a good middle for a collegiate program. She has a high contact and is actively up in the middle always ready and wanting a set. Her strongest attack is her slide. With hitting she continues to work to improve by focusing on spacing between her & the net & setter allowing her more room to swing & react to the block in front of her. As a blocker Savanna does well with taking up space along the net and getting quality touches. She continues to work on her blocking by focusing on penetrating across the net and reading the opposing teams setter. From the end line she has a consistent float and jump float serves that both have good speed. With continued reps her serves will become more effective and harder to pass. As a passer she has a good touch on the ball and sees the court well. This will be beneficial if she is a middle needing to serve she can definitely be counted on to come in and make a few playable digs. Entering her senior year, we are very excited and anxious to hear where Savanna ends up committing to. We know that she will be a good addition to a future collegiate program.
