09/24/2017 - College PREP - Nashville, TN - Summer Jackson is a 2018 outside hitter. As a hitter Summer's attacking is very smooth and looks effortless. She gets off the ground well and has a long extension with her arms, contacting balls at the highest reach. She has a fast arm but also shows good control when sets aren't there. She is a consistent hitter and show clean technique. Her best show is her line shot - she continues to develop other shots to make her more versatile. She has shown that she can score easily. As a defender she has a great touch on the ball that produces a quality result. She has a good low wide base allowing her to make plays easier. At the net she is takes up space and gets quality touches helping slow down or stop the attackers. From the end line Summer has a standing top spin serve that is consistent and able to hit different locations. Over all Summer is a talented player and would a great add to a college program. She is focused on a few areas that will help take her game to the next level - offensive developing more shots, developing a more effective serve and over all Volleyball IQ. The Factory encourages her to play a lot over the next year because the more reps the more you will learn and see the game which will ultimately make her a stronger player. We are anxious to see how this next year goes and hope she will take her talents to the next level and show case them at a college fit for her.
