02/04/2015 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD - Sydney is working to build on the foundation she already has as a player. She showed balance in all skills with the ability to continue to grow and work to elevate skill. She seems willing to know more and once information is provided has the ability to make changes. In regards to serving, Sydney can work on contacting the ball in front of her so that she is able to see the back of her hand, which will then allow her to be more consistent hitting zones. In serve receive, she can work on being more aggressive and taking control when she is in the back court as well as focusing on getting a better passing platform with proper angles that will give her more efficient passes to target. In both passing and defense, she can work on being in a lower, ready position which will allow her to move quicker in any direction. Defensively, she can improve on being more disciplined (don't cheat, stay neutral) and being more vocal; this aspect will develop with more confidence through playing experience. While blocking, Sydney can improve by using her vertical to be able to press over the net. She has a tendency to be very close to the next which makes it difficult for her to reach her blocking potential. Overall, Sydney is still improving as a player but is on the right track as she works to smooth out her play.
