09/24/2017 - College PREP - Nashville, TN - Taylor Tigue is a 2019 setter. Taylor overall is a good consistent setter. She has a smooth release & can set pin to pin and gets middles involved as well. She is continuing to work on releasing faster from right back and working on her tempo sets. She has the volleyball IQ to do it she needs more reps. We would also like to see her personality take over on the court - communicating to hitters on what they will run etc. As a defender she is active in the back court. She makes plays and puts up quality balls to the center of the court for the libero to step in & take second ball. She continues to wok on keeping arms away from her body when defending and reading the offense. At the net she takes up a good amount of space and helps slow down the hitters by getting touches on the attacks. From the end line Taylor has a good standing float & jump float serve that is often difficult to pass. Contact on ball is clean and comes off the hand with some pace to it. We encourage her to continue to develop her jump float and be mindful to keep her toss out in front as this could be the serve for her. We are excited to see the progress that she makes when we train with her in December.
