08/06/2017 - College PREP - San Diego, CA - Zeleya Loop is a 2018 outside hitter. Zeleya has a great future ahead of her and we are confident she will find a competitive college to play for. As an attacker she is finds ways to score - she has a fast arm that generates good power. She jumps well and contacts the ball high. She is a smart hitter able to hit different shots and controls the ball well. Her biggest focus going forward is staying aggressive in game play as a hitter - working to find hands and use the block. As a defender she is a vocal player on the court and makes plays. She presents a good strong platform that produces a quality pass. Her main focus on defending is staying balanced - she tends to split step when reacting to balls instead of finishing the move with her other leg. From the end line she has a standing float serve that is consistent and tough to pass. She is also able to hit different zones called out by the coach. In addition to her standing float serve she is beginning to work on her jump float that we think could be just as effective if not more due to her ability to jump; the jump floats angle would make for a tougher ball to pass. As Zeleya enters her senior year we are confident that she would be a good addition to a competitive collegiate program and we are anxious and excited to see what that school is.
